1Wall quantities

The division of brick foundation and wall body is based on the first floor design indoor floor, and the upper part is the wall body; if the wall body and foundation are of two different materials, the different parts of the material are taken as the dividing line.

2Wall engineering quantity calculation method

(1) wall volume = length × width × height – volume of door and window opening – lintel in wall – column in wall – beam in wall, etc. 

① Solid brick wall, hollow brick wall and stone wall are all calculated in volume according to the size shown in the design drawing.Deducting the volume of door and window openings, manhole, empty circle, reinforced concrete column, beam, ring beam, cantilever beam, lintel and niche, pipe trough, heating tank and fire hydrant box embedded in the wall.The volume occupied by beam head, slab head, purlin head, pad wood, wood ridge head, edge wood, wood brick, door and window walking head, reinforcing steel bar in brick wall, wood reinforcement, iron parts, steel pipe and holes with single area less than 0.3 square meters are not deducted.The volume of waist line, overhanging eaves, coping, windowsill line, tiger head brick and door and window cover will not increase, and the brick stack protruding from the wall will be incorporated into the volume of the wall.

A wall length: the outer wall is calculated according to the center line, and the inner wall is calculated according to the net length.

B wall height:

I external wall: inclined (slope) roof without cornice ceiling is calculated to the bottom of roof slab; if there is roof truss and there is ceiling outside, it is calculated to the bottom of bottom chord of roof truss plus 200 mm; if there is no ceiling, it is calculated to add 300 mm to the bottom of bottom chord of roof truss; when the width of eaves exceeds 600 mm, it is calculated according to the actual masonry height; flat roof is calculated to the bottom of reinforced concrete slab.

II internal wall: the bottom chord of roof truss shall be calculated to the bottom chord of roof truss; if there is no roof truss, it shall be calculated to the bottom of ceiling plus 100 mm; if there is partition layer of reinforced concrete floor, it shall be calculated to the top of floor; if there is frame beam, it shall be calculated to the bottom of beam.

III parapet: from the upper surface of the roof slab to the top of the parapet (to the lower surface of the parapet if there is concrete coping).

IV inner and outer Gables: calculated according to their average height.

V fence: the height is calculated to the lower surface of the coping (if there is concrete roof), the fence column is incorporated into the volume of the wall.

② The cast-in-place concrete wall is calculated by volume according to the size shown in the design drawing.The volume of reinforcement and embedded iron parts in the component is not deducted, and the volume of door and window openings and holes with a single area of 0.3 square meters is deducted. The wall stack and protruding wall part are included in the wall volume calculation.

A. for reinforced concrete walls, the volume occupied by door and window openings shall be deducted.

B the height of the wall is calculated according to the height of the upper layer of the upper layer and the lower skin of the upper layer.

C when the concrete wall is connected with the column, if the concrete column does not protrude from the wall, the volume of the concrete column shall be included in the wall; if the concrete column protrudes out of the wall, the length of the concrete wall shall be calculated to the side of the column, and the column connected with the wall shall be calculated separately.

D when the concrete wall is connected with the beam, if the concrete beam does not protrude out of the wall and there are no doors and windows (or openings) under the beam, the volume of the concrete beam shall be included in the wall; if the concrete beam protrudes from the wall or there are doors and windows (or openings) under the beam, the concrete wall and beam shall be calculated separately.

(2) formwork of concrete wall = exposed area of wall + side wall area of hole

Tianjin 2004 calculation rules: concrete, reinforced concrete formwork and support shall be calculated according to the concrete volume shown in the design and construction drawings.

(3) if the height of concrete wall exceeds 3.6m, the price increase = the total volume of the wall whose height exceeds 3.6m.

(4) the internal and external scaffold is calculated according to the vertical projection area of the wall.The length of external wall scaffold is calculated according to the outer edge line of external wall, and the length of internal wall scaffold is calculated according to the net length of internal wall.The height is calculated according to the total height from the natural floor to the top of the wall. 

 

3Difficulties in calculation of wall quantities

(1) before calculating the wall, the corresponding deduction must be calculated.In the case of beams or beams embedded in walls or columns, the ratio of the volume of beams or columns must be considered. 

(2) the formwork is similar. 

(3) when calculating the concrete wall, the upper wall of doors and windows (or openings) and the wall without doors and windows (or openings) should be calculated respectively.

 

4Calculation of layered wall

(1) when the thickness and eccentricity of the layered wall are different, the calculation center line of the wall should be calculated separately; 

(2) layered wall deduction should be made in layers. 

(3) parapet: from the upper surface of the roof slab to the top of the parapet (if there is concrete coping, it is calculated to the lower surface of the parapet) 

Calculation of doors and windows

1. quantities of doors and windows

(1) area of door and window: area of opening; area of frame periphery. 

(2) number of doors and windows 

(3) window glass: peripheral area of frame. 

(4) window sill volume 

(5) window sill formwork 

 

2Method of quantities of doors and windows

(1) area of door and window: area of opening = width of opening × height of opening

Outer area of frame = (opening width – buckle size) × (height – buckle size)

(2) number of doors and windows 

(3) area of window glass = area of frame periphery. 

(4) the volume of the window sill plate = the sectional area of the window sill plate × the length of the window sill plate 

(5) sill plate formwork = bottom formwork of window sill plate + side formwork of window sill plate 

① Side formwork of window sill = side length of window sill plate × exposed width of window sill bottom

② Side formwork of window sill = sum of side length of window sill plate × height of window sill plate

 

3Difficulties in calculation of quantities of doors and windows

There is no difficulty in calculating the quantities of doors and windows themselves. In practical projects, the difficulty lies in the change of quantities of other components caused by different sizes of doors and windows,

It is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

(1) quantity of lintel 

(2) wall quantities 

(3) engineering quantity of side wall of internal and external decoration openings 

 

Lintel calculation

(1) lintel volume: brick lintel; concrete lintel.

(2) concrete lintel formwork.

(3) select part of the decoration. 

 

2Lintel calculation

(1) volume of lintel 

Volume of lintel = sectional area of lintel × length of lintel (width of door + 500mm)

(2) formwork of lintel 

Area of lintel formwork = bottom formwork of lintel + side formwork of lintel

① Side formwork of lintel = net length of opening × width of lintel

② Lintel side form = sum of lintel side length × lintel height

(3) overhanging part decoration = side length of lintel × exposed width of lintel 

 

3Difficulties in calculation of lintel quantities

(1) the intersection of lintel and wall must be considered in the calculation of rectangular and special-shaped lintel, and the volume of embedded wall should be calculated; 

(2) in the calculation of rectangular and special-shaped lintels, attention must be paid to the elevation of lintel and ring beam, and the deduction of lintel and circle intersection should be considered. 

Balcony calculation

 

1Balcony quantities

(1) volume of cast-in-place balcony slab.

2Calculation method of balcony engineering quantity

(1) volume of cast-in-place balcony slab: the balcony slab shall be calculated by the volume of the external part of the wall according to the size shown in the design drawing 

Volume of cast-in-place balcony slab = slab area × slab thickness

If the balcony is completely enclosed by walls, the board area is calculated according to the net area enclosed by the wall; if the balcony is surrounded by walls and balustrades, the board area is calculated as follows: the area occupied by the wall is deducted from the wall edge, and the breast board edge is calculated to the outer edge of the breast board.

(2) cast in situ formwork for balcony slab: the area of balcony slab formwork = bottom formwork of balcony slab + side formwork of balcony slab. 

(3) cast in place balcony board decoration: 

Upper decoration = board area

Lower decoration = calculated according to the clearance area enclosed by walls and balustrades

(4) breast board volume 

Volume of breast board = sectional area of breast board × length of center line

Note: the center line length refers to the center line between the breast board and the breast board, and it is calculated to the outside of the wall when it intersects with the wall

(5) cast in place breast board formwork 

The area of cast-in-place breast board formwork = the sum of cast-in-place breast board side formwork + cast-in-place breast board end face template

(6) cast in place breast board decoration 

Interior decoration = net inner length of breast board × decoration height

Exterior decoration = length of outer edge line of breast board × decoration height

(7) balcony handrail: the decoration of handrails, balustrades and balustrades shall be calculated according to the dimensions shown in the design drawings according to the length of the center line of the handrail (including the length of the elbow). 

Balcony handrail volume = balcony handrail section area × balcony handrail center line length

Balcony handrail decoration = balcony handrail center line length × decoration length.

(8) partition board 

Partition board volume = thickness × height × center line length of partition board

Partition board decoration = center line length of partition board × decoration height × 2

(9) balcony window area 

(10) balcony wall decoration: door, window, door joint window, hole should be deducted. 

 

3Difficulties in calculation of balcony quantities

(1) the balcony has a lot of works, which is broken and disordered, and easy to miss items. 

(2) the calculation of volume and decoration should consider the center line and the net long line inside and outside, which is troublesome. 

 

Calculation of overhanging eaves

The volume of the overhanging slab = the length of the center line of the overhanging slab × the sectional area of the slab

(2) waterproof on the upper surface of cornice slab 

Upper surface waterproofing of overhanging slab = length of center line of overhanging slab × width of slab + length of inner edge line of overhanging vertical slab × upturning height – centerline of overhanging slab × width of overhanging vertical slab

(3) under surface decoration of cornice slab 

Waterproof of upper surface of cornice slab = length of center line of cornice slab × width of slab

(4) vertical slab volume of overhanging eaves 

The volume of overhanging vertical slab = center line of overhanging vertical slab × sectional area of overhanging vertical slab

(5) interior decoration of cornice vertical plate 

Interior decoration of overhanging vertical plate = length of inner edge line of overhanging vertical plate × vertical plate height

(6) overhanging eaves vertical board exterior decoration 

External decoration of overhanging vertical plate = length of external edge line of overhanging vertical plate × vertical plate height + length of vertical plate of overhanging eaves × thickness of slab

(7) volume of inclined slab of overhanging eaves 

The volume of cantilevered slab = center line of cantilevered slab × sectional area of inclined slab

(8) external decoration of cantilevered eaves 

The volume of cantilevered slab = the center line of cantilevered slab × the width of inclined slab

(9) interior decoration of cantilevered eaves

3Difficulties in calculation of quantities of overhanging eaves

(1) it is difficult to find the center line length of the bottom plate, vertical plate and inclined plate

(2) the interior and exterior decoration should use the center line plus or minus half of the vertical plate thickness, which is more troublesome.

 

Awning calculation

2Calculation method of awning quantity

(1) awning area 

The canopy shall be calculated according to the horizontal projection area extending out of the wall, and the beam embedded in the wall shall be calculated according to the corresponding subitem.

(2) canopy volume 

The awning is calculated by the volume of the outer part of the wall according to the size shown in the design drawing.It includes the volume of corbel and awning overhanging eaves.The beam embedded in the wall shall be calculated according to the corresponding subitem.For awning with beams outside the wall, the base price of beams and slabs shall be implemented.

(3) canopy vertical plate volume 

If the total height of the vertical concrete eaves around the awning exceeds 40cm, the whole vertical concrete eaves shall be calculated according to the extension m, and the base price of breast board shall be implemented.

(4) canopy vertical plate exterior decoration 

Outer decoration of awning vertical plate = length of outer edge line of awning vertical plate × height of vertical plate + length of vertical plate of awning × thickness of bottom plate

(5) interior decoration of canopy vertical plate 

Interior decoration of canopy vertical plate = length of inner edge line of canopy vertical plate × vertical plate height

(6) canopy decoration 

Canopy upper decoration = awning length × canopy width – canopy vertical plate center line × canopy vertical plate width

(7) decoration under awning 

Decoration under awning = awning length × awning width

 

3Difficulties in calculation of awning quantities

(1) it is difficult to calculate the center line length of canopy vertical plate

(2) the interior and exterior decoration of awning vertical plate should use the center line plus or minus half the thickness of vertical plate, which is more troublesome.

 

Column calculation

2Calculation method of column quantities

(1) calculation of construction column quantity 

① Volume of structural column = volume of constructional column + volume of Maya difference

② Structural column template = constructional column template + Maya difference formwork

The area of the tenon formwork = the length of the tenon embedded in the wall (0.03) × the height of the structural column

(2) difficulties in calculation of construction column quantities 

① It is very troublesome to calculate the difference between the horse teeth of the structural column and several walls.

② The difficulty of template calculation is the same as the volume.

(3) frame column 

① The cast-in-place concrete column shall be calculated by volume according to the size shown in the design drawing.The volume of reinforcement and embedded iron parts in the component is not deducted.

Volume of frame column = sectional area of frame column × height of frame column

The column height is as follows:

A. the height of the column with beam and slab shall be calculated from the height between the upper surface of the column base (or the upper surface of the floor) to the upper surface of the next floor.

B. the column height of the beamless slab shall be calculated from the height between the upper surface of the column base (or the upper surface of the floor) and the lower surface of the column cap.

C. the column height of the frame column shall be calculated from the upper surface of the column base to the top of the column.

② Formwork of frame column = perimeter of frame column × formwork height of frame column

Calculation rules: the concrete, reinforced concrete formwork and support shall be calculated according to the concrete volume shown in the design and construction drawings.

③ The precast concrete column is calculated by volume according to the size shown in the design drawing.The steel corbel on the column shall be calculated as iron without deducting the volume of reinforcement and embedded iron

(4) if the height of the concrete column exceeds 3.6m, the price increase = the total volume of the wall with the height of the concrete column exceeding 3.6m

(5) decoration of independent column = perimeter of frame column × decoration height 

(6) column side decoration = exposed length of column × decoration height 

 

Beam calculation

2Calculation method of beam quantity

(1) volume of beam = sectional area of beam × length of beam 

The cast-in-place concrete beam shall be calculated by volume according to the size shown in the design drawing.The beam head and beam pad extending into the wall shall be incorporated into the beam volume without deducting the volume of reinforcement and embedded iron parts in the component.

① When the beam is connected with the column, the length of the beam is calculated to the side of the column; when the main beam is connected with the secondary beam, the length of the secondary beam is calculated to the side of the main beam.

② When the ring beam is connected with the beam, the volume of the ring beam extending into the ring beam shall be deducted.

③ When the overhanging part of the concrete eaves is less than 12cm, it shall be included in the volume of the ring beam; when the overhanging part is more than 12cm, the outer skin of the ring beam shall be taken as the boundary, and the overhanging part shall be regarded as the cantilever

④ The precast concrete beam is calculated by volume according to the size shown in the design drawing.The volume of reinforcement and embedded iron parts in the component is not deducted.

(2) formwork area of beam = (sum of beam side height + beam bottom) × beam length

(3) if the height of concrete beam exceeds 3.6m, the price increase = the total volume of wall with the height of concrete beam exceeding 3.6m

(4) beam side decoration = beam exposed length × decoration length 

 

3Difficulties in calculation of beam quantities

(1) the volume calculation of beam should consider the deduction when intersecting with column, concrete wall and beam. 

(2) the formwork of beam is not easy to calculate, so the net length should be considered.
