Acceptance method and standard of fire retardant coating for steel structure

1、 Introduction of fireproof coating for steel structure

steel structure fire-proof coating refers to the steel structure applied to the surface of buildings, which can form a fire-proof insulation layer and improve the fire-resistant performance of steel structure.

 

1.Steel structure fireproof coating can be divided into the following places of use:

      1)The fire retardant coating for indoor steel structure can be used for indoor or concealed works on the surface of building steel structure.

      2)Fire retardant coating for outdoor steel structure can be used for steel structure surface of outdoor or outdoor buildings.The fireproof coating for steel structure can be divided into three parts according to the thickness.

      3)The thickness of the ultra-thin fireproof coating for steel structure is less than or equal to 3mm.

      4)Fire retardant coating for thin steel structure, with coating thickness greater than 3mm and less than or equal to 7mm.

      5)Thick steel structure fire retardant coating, the coating thickness is greater than 7mm and less than or equal to 454mm.

 

2、 Construction quality control of fireproof coating for steel structure

      1.Appearance of coating before construction: state in the container;

      2.Physical and mechanical properties after construction: drying time, appearance color, initial drying, bonding strength, compressive strength, dry density, etc.

      3.Durability after coating application: water resistance, heat resistance, cold resistance, heat resistance, moisture resistance, heat resistance, freeze-thaw cycle, acid resistance, alkali resistance, salt spray corrosion resistance, etc.

      4. fire resistance after coating construction: coating thickness and fire resistance limit.

 

3、 Acceptance method of fire retardant coating for steel structure

      1.Appearance inspection: detection of paint varieties, color glue cracks, etc.

      2.Tool detection method: measure the thickness of coating thickness with 0.75-1kg needle or caliper, hammer the coating strength and hollowing phenomenon, and use 1m coating flatness measuring ruler.

 

4、 Acceptance standard for fire retardant coating of steel structure

      1.The thickness of the coating shall meet the design requirements. If the thickness is lower than the original standard, it must be greater than 85% of the original standard, and the continuous area of the part with the thickness less than 1 m will not appear in the range of 5 m.

      2.The coating should be completely closed and should not be displayed or missed.

 

5、 Acceptance summary of fire retardant coating for steel structure

      1.The inspection items of fireproof coating for steel structure can be listed in the construction site, including the state, appearance, color, initial drying, crack resistance and coating thickness of the container.

      2.Fire resistance is the most important technical performance of fire retardant coating for steel structure.Coating thickness is an important performance index for rapid detection of construction quality of fire retardant coating for steel structure in construction site.

      3.The actual thickness of fire retardant coating for steel structure can not be converted and must be determined according to the fire resistance test data.

      4.During the quality inspection at the construction site, whether the coating thickness meets the design requirements is based on the fire resistance test data of the steel structure fire retardant coating.

      5.When the coating thickness is detected on the construction site, the average value of each measuring point shall be taken as the coating thickness.The judgment basis of whether the coating thickness meets the design requirements is that the coating thickness shall meet the thickness requirements of the coating inspection report, and the fire protection limit of the inspection report shall not be lower than the design limit of the coating component.
